In 2022 import prices up by 11.9%
In 2022 import prices were 11.9% higher than in 2021. In 2022 prices went up the most in the section mining and quarrying (by 41.5%), among which the highest increase was recorded in the group coal and lignite (by 136.2%) and the prices in the group paper and paper products (by 31.0%).
In 2022 the highest increase in the group coal and lignite
In 2022 import prices increased by 11.9% (in 2021 by 25.9%).
The prices of products supplied from the euro area increased by 11.7% and the prices of products imported from the non-euro area by 12.2%.
In 2022 prices went up the most in the section mining and quarrying (by 41.5%), among which the highest increase was recorded in the group coal and lignite (by 136.2%) and the prices in the group paper and paper products (by 31.0%).
Import prices in December 2022 lower than in the previous month
Compared to November 2022, in December 2022 import prices were 0.7% lower. The prices of products supplied from the euro area were lower by 0.4%, and the prices of products imported from the non-euro area by 0.9%.
Energy prices decreased by 4.5%, intermediate goods prices by 0.7%, consumer goods prices and capital goods prices decreased by 0.1%.
The highest decrease was observed in the group crude petroleum and natural gas (12.6%).
