Producer prices remained the same as in the previous month. At the annual level, they increased by over a fifth.

In October, producer prices remained on average the same as in the previous month. The prices of products for sale on the domestic market went up by 0.3% and on non-domestic markets down by 0.3%. Of those, the prices of products for sale on the markets of euro area countries decreased by 0.5% and of non-euro area countries remained the same.
The prices of consumer goods went up by 0.5% and of capital goods by 0.1%. Energy prices went down by 1.1% and intermediate goods prices by 0.2%.
Prices increased the most in manufacture of wearing apparel (by 2.9%), followed by manufacture of leather and leather products (by 2.4%) and manufacture of furniture (by 1.2%). They decreased the most in manufacture of basic metals (by 2.4%), followed by electricity (by 1.4%) and printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 0.7%).

Compared to October last year, producer prices increased by 20.6%. The prices of products for sale on the domestic market went up by 25.1% and on non-domestic markets by 16.0%. Of the latter, the prices of products sold on the markets of euro area countries increased by 16.7% and of non-euro area countries by 14.6%.
The prices of energy increased by 96.4%, of intermediate goods by 20.9%, of consumer goods by 13.5% and of capital goods by 10.0%.
The price increase was the highest in electricity (127.8%), followed by manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 40.7%), manufacture of paper and paper products (by 37.8%) and printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 27.7%). Prices decreased only in manufacture of other transport equipment (by 2.9%).
