World Teachers' Day
The higher the level of education, the higher share of male teachers
5 October has been celebrated as the World Teacher's Day for 29 years. In the 2021/22 school year, 12,486 educators were taking care of children in kindergartens, 22,795 teachers were teaching in basic education, 7,470 in upper secondary education and 5,540 at the tertiary level.
