Agricultural input price indices, June 2022
Agricultural input prices slightly up at the monthly level and considerably higher annually
Agricultural input prices in June were 0.1% higher than the month before, while in the 2nd quarter of 2022 they were 8.9% higher than in the 1st quarter. At the monthly level, the highest price increase was recorded in the group maintenance of buildings.
Input prices in agriculture were on average 0.1% higher at the monthly level. Prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture remained the same as the month before, while prices contributing to agricultural investment increased by 0.3%.
The highest price growth was recorded in the group maintenance of buildings (by 1.5%), followed by energy and lubricants (by 0.9%) and other goods and services (by 0.8%).
Prices of materials increased by 0.4% (higher prices of transport equipment), while the prices of buildings slightly decreased (by 0.1%).

Compared to June 2021, agricultural input prices went up by 30.5%, with the prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture having increased by 38.8% and the prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment by 13.6%.
Fertilizers prices went up the most (more than two and a half times higher than a year ago), followed by prices of energy and lubricants (by 35.2%) and prices of animal feedingstuffs (by 33.1%).

The prices were on average 8.9% higher than in the previous quarter and 30.2% higher than in the 2nd quarter of 2021.
At the quarterly level, too, the highest increase was recorded for fertilisers (by 20.8%), while prices of energy and lubricants were higher by 13.8% and prices of animal feedingstuffs by 12.3%.
