Natural gas prices for households in the first quarter of 2022 higher by 16%, for non-households by 22%

Average natural gas prices for household consumers in Slovenia increased between the fourth quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022, while electricity prices decreased.

Average natural gas price for household consumers was 0.068 EUR/kWh in the first quarter of 2022

The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia in the first quarter of 2022 increased by 16% when compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 and was 0.068 EUR/kWh. During the same period the average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers increased by 22%; it accounted to 0.060 EUR/kWh.

Electricity prices for households decreased in the first quarter of 2022, while electricity prices for non-households increased

The average electricity prices in the first quarter of 2022 decreased when compared to the fourth quarter of 2021; during that period the average electricity price for household consumers in Slovenia decreased by 27% and was 0.116 EUR/kWh, while the average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers increased by 45%; it was 0.155 EUR/kWh.

The natural gas and electricity prices in the first quarter od 2022 were partly affected by the measures taken to mitigate the consequences of the impact of high energy prices, which temporarily reduced or eliminated certain levies.
