In April 2022, more net electricity generated than in April 2021

Compared to the same month last year, electricity production in April 2022 increased and supply of energy commodities also increased.

Total net electricity generation in April 2022 higher, import lower than a year ago

In April 2022, total net electricity generation was 1,096 GWh. Compared to March 2022 it decreased by 10% and compared to April 2021 it increase by 45%. Compared to April 2021, generation in hydro power plants was 19% lower and in thermal power plants 25% lower. This time last year, the nuclear power plant had its regular outage.

Consumption of electricity in April 2022 was lower than in previous month (by 13%) as in April 2021 (by 3%).

In line with the lower production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption also decreased. Total fuel consumption in April 2022 was 21% lower than a year ago.

In April 2022, 767 GWh of electricity was imported and 731 GWh was exported. Compared to the same month last year, import decreased by 17% and export increased by 40%.

Energy supply in April 2022 lower than in March and higher than in April 2021

In April 2022, supply of energy commodities in general went down with exception of Other Petroleum Products supply rise with 10% and Transport Diesel Oil supply rise with 7%. Compared with previous month we further noticed supply fell as 70% with Kerosene Jet Fuel, 55% with Heating and Other Gasoil, 35% with Hard Coal, 25% with Natural Gas, 25% with LPG, 14% with Lignite and Brown Coal, 14% with Coke Oven Coke and 3% with Motor Gasoline.

Compared to April 2021 supply of energy commodities increased as 188% with Kerosene Jet Fuel, 46% with Transport Diesel Oil, 24% with Coke Oven Coke, 23% with Motor Gasoline, 10% with Heating and Other Gasoil, and 9% with Lignite and Brown Coal.
