World Environment Day

More than half of food waste generated by households

In 2020, 4,227,000 m3 or about a fifth less timber was felled. Most food waste (52%) was generated by households. The highest share of environmental protection investment was for protection of ambient air and climate (49%) and the highest share of current expenditure for waste management (56%).
