The slogan of this year’s Earth Day: Invest in our planet
In 2020, EUR 1.3 billion of environmental taxes were collected, 2.6% more than in 2011, and EUR 412 million or 46% more was spent on environmental protection investment. Greenhouse gas emissions decreased. The number of electric vehicles and the amount of separately collected waste increased.
