In November 2021, less net electricity generated than in November 2020
Compared to the same month last year, electricity production in November 2021 decreased, the supply of energy commodities increased.
Total net electricity generation in November 2021 lower, import higher than a year ago
In November 2021, total net electricity generation was 1,250 GWh. Compared to October 2021 it increased by 8% and compared to November 2020 it decreased by 11%. Compared to November 2020, generation in hydro power plants was 15% lower, in thermal power plants 19% lower and in nuclear power plant 1% lower.
Consumption in November 2021 was 2% higher than in previous month as in November 2020.
In line with the lower production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption also decreased. Total fuel consumption in November 2021 was 20% lower than in November 2020.
In November 2021, 646 GWh of electricity was imported and 645 GWh was exported. Compared to the same month last year, import increased by 13% and export decreased by 14%.
Energy supply in November 2021 lower than in October 2021 and higher than in November 2020
In November 2021, supply of energy commodities in general went down as 44% with Heating and Other Gasoil, 44% with Kerosene Jet Fuel, 26% with Hard Coal, 21% with Other Petroleum Products, 13% with Motor Gasoline, and 13% with Transport Diesel Oil. Compared with previous month we further noticed supply rise as 19% with Natural Gas, 8% with Coke Oven Coke, 5% with LPG and 5% with Lignite and Brown Coal.
Compared with November of the previous year we further noticed supply rise as 69% with Kerosene Jet Fuel, 69% with Motor Gasoline, 46% with Heating and Other Gasoil, 17% with Transport Diesel Oil, 7% with Coke Oven Coke and 3% with LPG.
