The value of purchased agricultural products 14.3% higher year-on-year
The prices of agricultural products were 4.8% higher than last October and the value of purchased agricultural products increased by 14.3% year-on-year.
Producer prices higher than last October
Producer prices of agricultural products increased on average by 4.8% year-on-year.
Animals and animal products were a tenth more expensive. The prices of animals for slaughter increased by 18.4%. Significantly higher were the prices of cattle. The prices of animal products were higher by 1.7%. Eggs were 3.7% more expensive and milk 1.6%.
Crop products decreased by 0.3%. Potato prices were lower by 8.7% and vegetable prices by 14.0%. On the other hand, fruit prices increased by a tenth, wine prices by 6.8% and cereal prices by 5.2%.
Value of purchased cereals much higher
The total value of purchased agricultural products increased by 14.3% year-on-year.
In the group arable farming, the purchase value increased by 33.5%. Significantly higher was the value of purchased grain maize as well as the average price. Higher was also the value of purchased vegetables, while the value of purchased industrial plants decreased.
In the group livestock breeding, the purchase value was higher by almost a tenth. The value increased mostly due to the higher value of purchased eggs (by 13.2%) and livestock (by 13.0%). Also higher were the values of purchased milk (by 7.5%) and poultry (by 2.2%).
In the group fruit and wine growing, the purchase value decreased by 2.1%. The value of purchased fruit was lower by 29.4%. Compared with last October, a lower quantity of the product was purchased. The value of purchased alcoholic drinks went up by 1.5%.
