The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs much higher than a year ago
The total value of roundwood purchased in May from private owners was at the annual level almost a third higher and at the monthly level a fifth lower.

Compared to last May, the value of roundwood purchased from private owners increased by 30.9%. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by 39.4%. The value increased due to the higher value of purchased conifers and beech. Also higher was the value of purchased fuel wood. On the other hand, the values of pulpwood and of other industrial roundwood decreased.
… and lower month-on-month
Compared to April, the total value of roundwood purchased from private owners decreased by 20.9%. Significantly lower was the value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs (by 21.8%). The purchase value of other assortments was also lower. The value decreased mostly due to the lower quantity of purchased wood.
