Following two months of price increases, in April producer prices stayed on average unchanged. In the annual comparison, they were up by 1.0%.

Compared to March, producer prices remained on average the same. The prices of products for sale on the domestic market went up by 0.2% and on non-domestic markets down by 0.3%. Of the latter, the prices of products for sale on euro area markets went down by 0.4% and on non-euro area markets by 0.1%.
Consumer goods prices went up by 0.5% and intermediate goods prices by 0.2%. Energy prices went down by 3.0% and capital goods prices by 0.5%.
Prices increased the most in mining and quarrying (by 3.7%), followed by manufacture of textiles (by 2.2%), manufacture of wearing apparel (by 1.2%) and manufacture of food products (by 0.9%). On the other hand, the largest price decrease was recorded in electricity (by 3.9%), followed by manufacture of computer and optical products (by 1.7%), manufacture of motor vehicles and trailers (by 0.6%) and manufacture of rubber and plastic products (by 0.6% as well).
… while year-on-year growth highest in manufacture of leather and leather products
Compared to April last year, producer prices increased by 1.0%. Both the prices of products for sale on the domestic market and on non-domestic markets went up by 1.0%. Of the latter, the prices of products for sale on euro area markets increased by 1.2% and on non-euro area markets by 0.5%.
Consumer goods prices went up by 3.0%, intermediate goods prices by 0.7% and capital goods prices by 0.3%, while energy prices went down by 4.2%.
Prices increased the most in manufacture of leather and leather products (by 11.1 %), followed by manufacture of beverages (by 6.0%), water collection, treatment and supply (by 5.4%) and mining and quarrying (by 4.8%). On the other hand, they decreased the most in manufacture of coke and petroleum products (by 9.1%), followed by manufacture of other transport equipment (by 7.2%) and manufacture of computer and optical products (by 3.6%).
