Services producer prices up
In the 1st quarter, services producer prices increased quarterly by 1.3% and annually by 3.7%.
At the quarterly level, prices up the most in professional, scientific and technical activities
In one quarter, services producer prices went up by 1.3%. As regards sections of activities, they were higher in professional, scientific and technical activities (by 2.6%), in transportation and storage (by 2.1%), in real estate activities (by 1.6%), in accommodation and food service activities (by 1.2%), and in administrative and support service activities (by 0.5%). Prices decreased in information and communication (by 1.2%).
At the annual level, prices up the most in accommodation and food service activities
Compared to the 1st quarter of the previous year, services producer prices were higher by 3.7%. They increased the most in accommodation and food service activities (by 5.0%). In professional, scientific and technical activities prices went up by 4.4%, in transportation and storage by 4.1%, in real estate activities by 3.4%, in administrative and support service activities by 2.9%, and in information and communication by 2.0%.

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
In the 1st quarter of 2025, we made some methodological changes. Similarly as in the previous years, we changed the weights; they are based on net turnover data for 2023 from the statistical survey Performance of enterprises (Structural Business Statistics, SSP/L), recalculated to the prices from the last quarter of 2024. We also slightly revised the list of services whose prices we monitor and the list of enterprises that report the prices. The survey includes 1,048 enterprises that report quarterly the prices for 4,612 services.

During the transition period after SKD 2025 (NACE Rev. 2.1) entering into force, statistical data will still be collected and published according to SKD 2008 (NACE Rev. 2). The transition periods will vary depending on the individual surveys.
