The value of industrial production up
The value of industrial production and turnover in industry increased over the previous month and year-on-year.
Industrial production up monthly and annually
The total value of industrial production was 1.2% higher than in November. In mining and quarrying it increased by 3.2% and in manufacturing by 1.4%, while in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it declined by 7.1%.
At the monthly level, the value of industrial production increased in consumer goods industries (by 3.9%), in capital goods industries (by 2.3%) and in intermediate goods industries (by 0.8%).
Compared to December 2023, the total value of industrial production went up by 1.9%. It was higher in mining and quarrying (by 22.6%) and in manufacturing (by 2.7%), but lower in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (by 21.6%).
Turnover in industry also higher
Total turnover in industry grew at the monthly level by 1.5%. Turnover increased in mining and quarrying by 16.8% and in manufacturing by 1.2%. In the domestic market it went up by 5.7% and in the non-domestic market down by 0.2%.
At the annual level, total turnover in industry went up by 0.4%. It was higher in mining and quarrying, but lower in manufacturing.
Value of stocks up year-on-year
The total value of stocks in industrial production was 10.1% higher than a year ago in December, but remained unchanged compared to the previous month.

Total turnover in industry grew at the monthly level by 1.5%. Turnover increased in mining and quarrying by 16.8% and in manufacturing by 1.2%. In the domestic market it went up by 5.7% and in the non-domestic market down by 0.2%.
At the annual level, total turnover in industry went up by 0.4%. It was higher in mining and quarrying, but lower in manufacturing.
Value of stocks up year-on-year
The total value of stocks in industrial production was 10.1% higher than a year ago in December, but remained unchanged compared to the previous month.
