Import prices higher than in the previous month
In November, import prices were 0.9% higher than in the previous month. The largest increase was recorded in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (by 46.4%). On an annual basis, import prices were lower by 1.2%.

Compared to October, in November import prices were 0.9% higher. The prices of products supplied from the euro area went up by 1.0%, and the prices of products imported from the non-euro by 0.7%.
Energy prices increased by 7.5%, and capital goods prices by 0.6%, while consumer goods prices remained unchanged. Intermediate goods prices decreased by 0.1%.
Import prices increased the most in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (by 46.4%). The largest decrease was recorded within the section manufactured products, i.e. in the group wearing apparel (by 1.3%).

In one year, import prices went down by 1.2%. The prices of products supplied from the euro area increased by 0.1%, while the prices of products imported from the non-euro area decreased by 3.0%.
On an annual basis, prices decreased the most in the section mining and quarrying (by 9.6%), among which the highest decrease was recorded in the group crude petroleum and natural gas (by 12.6%). On the other hand, the largest price increase was recorded in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (by 44.6%).
