The sentiment indicator slightly up
The sentiment indicator improved slightly compared to the previous month and worsened compared to last November.
Higher at the monthly level …
The sentiment indicator reached −4.8 percentage points (p.p.) and was thus 0.7 p.p. higher than the month before (−5.5 p.p.).
The increase was influenced by the confidence indicators in manufactoring (by 1.0 p.p.), among consumers (by 0.2 p.p.), and in construction (by 0.1 p.p.). On the other hand, the change in the value was negatively influenced by the confidence indicators in retail trade (by 0.5 p.p.) and in services (by 0.2 p.p.).
… but lower at the annual level
Compared to last November, the value of the sentiment indicator decreased by 2.9 p.p.
The decrease was influenced by the lower values of four out of five indicators: in services (by 1.8 p.p.), in manufacturing (by 0.9 p.p.), in retail trade (by 0.8 p.p.), and in construction (by 0.4 p.p.). Only the confidence indicator among consumers had a positive impact (by 1.0 p.p.).
