In June 2020, 4% less net electricity generated than in June 2019
Compared to the same month last year, electricity production in June 2020 decreased by 4%. The supply of oil derivatives, which followed consumption, declined: motor gasoline by 14%.
Total net electricity generation in June 2020 4% lower than a year ago
In June 2020, total net electricity generation was 1,373 GWh. Compared to May 2020 it increased by 11% and compared to June 2019 it decreased by 4%.
Compared to June 2019, generation in hydro power plants was 11% lower, in thermal power plants 5% higher and in the nuclear power plant about the same.
Consumption in June 2020 was 1,021 GWh. Compared to the previous month it increased by 1%. In June 2019, consumption was 1,163 GWh, 12% higher than in June 2020.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption also increased. Total fuel consumption in June 2020 was 5% higher than in June 2019.
In June 2020, 434 GWh of electricity was imported and 765 GWh was exported. Import decreased by 42%, export by 21% compared to June 2019.
Energy supply in June 2020 higher than in May 2020 and lower than in June 2019
In June 2020 supply of energy commodities in general went up with exception of Heating and Other Gasoil supply fell with 49%, Natural Gas supply fell with 16% and Transport Diesel Oil supply fell with 6%.
Compared with previous month we further noticed supply rise as 64% with Lignite and Brown Coal, 58% with Hard Coal, 45% with Motor Gasoline, 24% with Kerosene Jet Fuel, and 6% with Coke Oven Coke.
Compared to June 2019 supply of energy commodities decreased as 81% with Kerosene Jet Fuel, 32% with Coke Oven Coke, 21% with LPG, 21% with Other Petroleum Products 14% with Motor Gasoline, 11% with Transport Diesel Oil and 8% with Natural Gas.
