In May 2020 in interurban and international buses in public scheduled transport 95% fewer passengers carried and 95% less passenger-kilometres performed than in May 2019

Due to the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19), public passenger transport was stopped on 16 March 2020 with the Ordinance on the Temporary Prohibition and Restrictions on Public Passenger Transport in the Republic of Slovenia. It was re-established in Slovenia on 11 May 2020 in an adapted form.

Due to the introduction of protective measures, the entry of passengers who are users of annual or monthly tickets on buses was not recorded in May 2020. For this reason, only passengers who have bought tickets in advance or online and their passenger kilometers are taken into account in road public transport data.
