Share of smokers among adults describes the number of people aged 15 years and over who answered in the survey that they smoke cigarettes every day or occasionally.
The indicator is the ratio between the number of respondents who answered the question "Do you smoke now?" with "Yes, every day" or "Yes, occasionally" and the total number of respondents who answered this question multiplied by 100.
The definition of smoking includes the proportion of people who smoke everyday (daily smokers), smoke occasionally (occasional smokers), smoke (daily and occasional smokers) and do not smoke. Smoking of electronic cigarettes and tobacco blends with marijuana is excluded.
