Inflation – annual inflation rate

Inflation is a general increase in prices, while the inflation rate shows the percentage increase in prices. In Slovenia inflation is measured with the consumer price index with which we measure changes in retail prices of goods and services from the point of view of the expenditure structure, which the resident population intends for final consumption at home and abroad.

In 2015 specialisation over 90% in three of the observed business services
As regards enterprises in business services with 20 or more persons employed, in 2015 the shares of turnover generated with the sale of specialised services were the highest in market research and public opinion polling (99%), employment activities (95%) and advertising (91%).

In 2016, 19,689 people died or 0.7% fewer than in 2015. The mean age for men was 73.0 years and for women 81.4 years. A boy born in Slovenia in 2016 can expect to live 77.96 years and a girl 83.86 years.

In April 2017 tourists generated over 810,000 overnight stays, 27% more than a year ago
n April 2017, 27% more tourist overnight stays were recorded in tourist accommodations than in April 2016. Foreign tourists generated 44% more arrivals and 47% more overnight stays and domestic tourist about the same number of arrivals and 2% fewer overnight stays.
