In Slovenia inflation is measured with the consumer price index with which we measure changes in retail prices of goods and services from the point of view of the expenditure structure, which the resident population intends for final consumption at home and abroad.

In April 2018 there were more than 869,300 persons in employment in Slovenia. The number of men in employment increased more than the number of women in employment (men by 0.8%, women by 0.6%).

Average earnings for April 2018 lower than earnings for March 2018, but higher than earnings for April 2017
Average gross earnings for April 2018 amounted to EUR 1,664.19; compared to gross earnings for March 2018 they were lower (in nominal terms by 0.4% and in real terms by 1.1%), while compared to gross earnings for April 2017 they were higher (in nominal terms by 4.6% and in real terms by 3.1%).

In Slovenia fewer buildings and more dwellings completed in 2017 than in 2016
In 2017, almost 6,600 buildings were completed, 2% fewer than in 2016. In 2017, 3,044 dwellings were completed, 2% more than in 2016. Most dwellings were completed in Ljubljana (188), followed by Vrhnika (114) and Bled (95).
