Waste statistics surveys

Waste statistics surveys for the year 2004 are included in the Annual Program of Statistical Surveys for 2005. The results of surveys use for presenting generated amount of industrial and municipal waste and waste treatment in Slovenia. This data serve for prevention of hazardous impacts of waste on environment, for correct environmental policy and for correct decisions on this field. The data will be published in aggregated form in Statistical publications and in data bases (ours and European) on internet.

Waste statistics include five different surveys:

• Waste survey »Annual report on Waste Recovering/Disposing – ODP-P«
• Waste survey »Annual report on Collected Municipal Waste – KO-Z«
• Waste survey »Annual report on the Amount of Waste Brought to Landfill Sites – KO-U«

Waste survey »Annual report on Waste Generation in Production and Service Activities - ODP«

The purpose of the survey ODP is collecting the data on types and amounts of waste generated by business subjects during their carrying-on of different operations.
The observation units for the survey ODP are business subjects from different activities that generated waste.

Waste survey »Annual report on Waste Collected from Production and Service Activities – ODP-Z«

The purpose of the survey ODP-Z is collecting the data on types and amounts of waste collected/received from others.
The observation units for this survey are business subjects that collected/received wastes from others for the further waste treatment and all this business subjects must have the license for waste collection and must be registered in the list of waste collectors on MOP – Agency for Environment.

Waste survey »Annual report on Waste Recovering/Disposing – ODP-P«

The purpose of the survey ODP-P is collecting the data on types and amounts of waste that was recovered, reused or disposed in Slovenia.
The observation units for this survey are business subjects that collected/received wastes from others and recovered or disposed this wastes. This business subjects must have the license for waste recovery or disposing and must be registered on MOP – Agency for Environment.

Waste survey »Annual report on Collected Municipal Waste – KO-Z«

The purpose of the survey KO-Z is collecting the data on public collection and removal of municipal waste, data on source of municipal waste and data on further handling of municipal waste.
The observation units for this survey are business entities authorized for collecting, removing and further handling of municipal waste.

Waste survey »Annual report on the Amount of Waste Brought to Landfill Sites – KO-U«

The purpose of the survey KO-U is collecting the data on the number and the location of landfill sites, their capacity and data about amounts of waste landfilled on the landfill sites.
The observation units for the survey KO-U are business entities which managing public landfill sites.
