On 19 August 1944 the Slovene National Liberation Council established the Statistical Office. Therefore, in 2004 the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia is celebrating the 60th anniversary of establishment of official statistics in Slovenia, which is marked with a celebration and issuing of the anniversary publication
with title "60 Years of National Statistics in Slovenia" .
