Marine fishing, Slovenia, November 2006 – provisional data

In November 2006 only 52 tons of marine animals were caught (landed), which is nearly a half less than in October 2006 and November 2005.
Compared to the catch (landing) in October 2006, in November 2006 the capture of cephalopods was down while in comparison with November 2005 fewer fishes, crustaceans and shells were caught (landed). In the first eleven months of 2006 812 tons of marine animals were caught (landed), which is 16% less than in the comparable period of 2005. Methodological note Because the caught marine animals are not processed on the Slovene fishing vessels (they are not eviscerated, filleted, iced, etc.), the data on landing are at the same time the data on marine fishing. Caught animals are in the landing statistics categorised as fresh products.
