Parenthood and family receipts beneficiaries, Slovenia, 2005

On average, 17,534 beneficiaries were receiving parental compensation in 2005, which is 3.3% more than in 2004.
In 2005, the number of beneficiaries or recipients of certain rights in respect of parenthood and family receipts decreasedIn 2005, on average, 228,962 persons were receiving child allowance every month for 383,467 children. Compared to 2004, the share of beneficiaries decreased by 2.8%, while the share of children decreased by 2.3%. In 2005, 11,308 fathers were receiving fathers' compensation, which is also parental compensation. Compared to 2004 their share fell by 10.7%. In 2005, the average number of persons entitled to shorter working time due to parenthood was more than 19% lower than in the previous year (2,403). In 2005, the number of persons entitled to all other rights in respect of parenthood and family rights increased On average, 17,534 beneficiaries were receiving parental compensation in 2005, which is 3.3% more than in 2004. On average, the number of women beneficiaries who were receiving parental allowance increased by almost one percent (2,833). The number of women beneficiaries receiving child birth allowance also increased by almost one percent (19,980). On average, parents of 5,402 children were receiving allowance for nursing a child, which is 1.4% more than in 2004. Compared to 2004, the number of beneficiaries receiving large family allowance increased by more than 2% (24,965).
