Gross domestic product (GDP) in purchasing power standards (SKM), 2008

Gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in purchasing power standards (PPS) in Slovenia amounted to 90% of that in the EU-27 in 2008.
Eurostat data Eurostat published today the now-cast (preliminary estimate) of gross domestic product per capita in purchasing power parities (GDP in PPS) in 2008. The published results are based on the first estimates of purchasing power parities (PPP) for 2008 and on the first estimates of GDP figures in national currencies and on population figures for the same year and for 37 European countries.
In 2008 the Slovenian GDP per capita in PPS was 10% below that of the EU-27 average Purchasing Power Parity (conversion factor of GDP in national currency to PPS) was for 2008 for Slovenia estimated at 0.81 euro/1 PPS. This factor also shows the general price level in Slovenia compared to the EU-27 average price level. In 2008, Slovenian GDP in PPS thus amounted to 46.0 billion PPS and was, on per capita basis, 10% bellow the EU-27 average. GDP per capita in PPS, volume indices EU27 = 100, 2008
