SORS is now presenting data on postal services and electronic communications services in the SI-TAT database for the first time. The data were obtained from providers of services observed. Data on electronic communications services are collected by the Post and Electronic Communications Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.
Postal services are shown by data on the volume of postal items (by months) only, while the presentation of electronic communications activity is more exhaustive. Published data refer to fixed and mobile telephone services, transfer of data and internet access. It contains the connection on fixed locations, the users of mobile network, calls and traffic in fixed and mobile networks, data concerning roaming and internet access.
Data are shown on the level of Slovenia almost all of them separately for business and private users (households).
Quarterly data from the first quarter of 2007 to the fourth quarter of 2008 are available. In the future the database will be updated quarterly with the First Release on postal and electronic communications services – the next one is expected to be released on June 5th 2009
