The value of purchase in arable farming higher
In comparison with November 2008, in December 2008 the value of purchase in the group arable farming was much higher. The value of purchase was higher in all subgroups - in the subgroup cereals it was higher because of higher quantity of purchased wheat and in the subgroup industrial plants because of higher value of purchased hops. The value of purchase in the subgroup vegetables increased more than a half because of higher purchase of seed potatoes, while the purchase of other important vegetables was lower.

The value of purchase in the (most important) group livestock breeding higher
In December 2008 the value of purchase in the group livestock breeding was EUR 33,201,280 and thus 6.4% higher than a month before. The value of purchase was higher in all important subgroups; of livestock by 14.6%, of poultry and eggs by 3.5% and of milk by 3.4%. The value of purchased milk products, hides and honey was lower.

The value of purchase in the group fruit and wine growing higher
In the group fruit and wine growing the value of purchase in December 2008 was 19.2% higher than a month before. Purchase of fruit was 12.8% lower (smaller was the quantity of purchased dessert apples), while the value of purchased grape for industry was 5.7% higher. The value of purchased alcoholic drinks was higher by a half.

The value of purchase of other products lower
In the group other products the total value of purchase in December 2008 was lower by a third at monthly level. The value of purchase was higher in the subgroup fishes (by 2.5%) and in the subgroup other (by 44.8%). In the subgroup wood the value of purchase was lower by a half.


In 2008 the value of purchase amounted to EUR 529,888,418 and was thus 7.7% higher than in 2007

The value of purchase in arable farming lower
In comparison with 2007, in 2008 the value of purchase in the group arable farming was 11.9% lower. In the subgroup cereals the value was lower because of lower prices of cereals, while the quantities of purchased cereals were higher – of wheat by 3.7% and of maize by 5.6%. The value of purchased industrial plants was 12.7% lower because of smaller purchased quantities of products. In the subgroup vegetables the value of purchase was lower by 7.1% (among important vegetables the quantities of purchased cauliflower, onion and late potatoes were larger, while the quantities of tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, carrot and early potatoes was smaller). Lower was also the value of purchased fodder plants.

The value of purchase in the (most important) group livestock breeding higher
In 2008 the value of purchase in the group livestock breeding was EUR 398,802,191 and thus 13.1% higher than a year before. The value of purchase was higher in all important subgroups. In the subgroup livestock the value of purchase was 6.7% higher – the quantity of purchased calves was lager by 1.1%, of bulls by 2.0% and of equines by 26.4%, while the quantity of purchased porkers was smaller by 2.3% and of lambs by 9.0%. In the subgroup poultry and eggs the value of purchase was 17.3% higher (the quantity of purchased chickens was higher by 0.5%, of eggs by 0.2% and of turkeys lower by 5.3%). The value of purchased milk rose by 16.5%, while the quantity of purchased milk was 1.1% smaller. The value of purchased hides and honey was lower and of milk products a bit higher.

The value of purchase in the group fruit and wine growing lower
In comparison with 2007, in 2008 the value of purchase in the group fruit and wine growing was 1.4% lower. In the subgroup fruit the value of purchase rose by 9.1% because of higher prices of dessert apples and dessert pears, while the quantities were smaller. The value of purchased alcoholic drinks was higher by 2.4%, of fruit plants by 10.4% and of vine plants by 1.6%. Lower was only the value of purchased grape for industry (by 18.8%).

The value of purchase of other products lower
In the group other products the total value of purchase in 2008 was 7.7% lower than a year before. The value of purchase in the subgroup fishes was 6.9% higher and in the subgroup other 2.9% higher, while the value of purchased wood was 10.6% lower.
