In 2007, construction enterprises in Slovenia performed EUR 2,942 million worth of construction work, which was 21% more than a year before.

As regards buildings, the value of construction put in place up by 13%
As regards buildings, compared to 2006 the value of construction put in place was up by more than 13% - mostly due to higher value of construction put in place in non-residential buildings (by more than 14%). Among non-residential buildings, compared to a year before the value of construction put in place increased the most in hotel buildings (by 56%), followed by sports halls (by 49%) and office buildings (by 39% ). The value of construction put in place in residential buildings grew by almost 10% over the previous year. Among residential buildings the highest increase in the value of construction put in place in 2007 over 2006 was in two-dwelling buildings (by 87%).



As regards civil engineering works, the value of construction put in place up by 31%
As regards civil engineering works, compared to 2006 the value of construction put in place was up by 31%. In 2007, civil engineering represented 49% of total construction put in place, and was 4% higher than in 2006. At the same time the share of construction put in place in the segment of buildings went down by the same percent.
