Enterprise Groups, Slovenia, 2006 - provisional data

Among all-resident enterprise groups those with three or fewer units prevail
In 2006, 84% of all-resident enterprise groups had two or three units. The majority of all-resident groups were controlled by group head-natural person (70%); 30% of all-resident groups were controlled by group head-legal unit. All-resident enterprise groups represented 46% of all enterprise groups which were identified in Slovenia on the basis of available resources.

The majority of business entities are associated in manufacturing, wholesale and business services
In 2006 the highest share of all enterprise groups was identified in wholesale, retail and certain repair (25%), 19% of enterprise groups were identified in real estate, renting and business services and 18% in manufacturing.

The majority of all-resident enterprise groups were identified in real estate, renting and business services (24%), wholesale, retail and certain repair (20%) and manufacturing (17%).

Domestically controlled multinational enterprise groups prevailed in manufacturing (39%), while foreign controlled multinational enterprise groups prevailed in wholesale, retail and certain repair (30%).

The majority of foreign controlled truncated enterprise groups are controlled by Austria, Germany, Italy and Croatia
The results for 2006 showed that the highest share of foreign controlled multinational enterprise groups was controlled by Austria (27%), and Germany (12%), while Italy and Croatia each had a 9% share.

Foreign controlled multinational enterprise groups controlled by Austria predominated in wholesale, retail and certain repair (30%) and in real estate, renting and business services (28%). On the other hand, foreign controlled truncated enterprise groups controlled by Germany predominated in manufacturing (25%).
