In 2007, 70.0 billion m3 of water was used for various purposes in manufacturing in Slovenia, which is 8.9% less than in 2006.


Less water used in manufacturing
In 2007, 70,290,577,000 m3 of water was used for various manufacturing purposes in Slovenia: 98.9% for industry, 1.0% for cooling, 0.06% for sanitation and 0.04% for other purposes in manufacturing. Compared to 2006, the amount of water used in manufacturing in 2006 is less by 8.9%.


Less waste water from manufacturing treated
As regards the type of waste water from manufacturing, we distinguish between treated and untreated waste water. In 2007, 730,052,000 m3 of waste water from manufacturing was untreated, which is 4.8% more than in 2006. In 2007, 32,102,000 m3 of waste water from manufacturing was treated, which is 3.5% less than in 2006.


The collected data shows that every year less waste water is treated, while the amount of untreated waste water varies from year to year.
