Enterprises with low turnover prevail in trade

The majority of enterprises with turnover under EUR 1 million


Among 22,865 enterprises registered in activity G – wholesale and retail, repair of motor vehicles, personal and household goods the majority (20,504 or 89.7%) created less than EUR 1 million of turnover in 2006. Compared to 1995, in 2006 the highest increase in the number of enterprises (by 381 enterprises) in activity G was in the class with 2 to less than EUR 5 million of turnover.



The majority of value added at factor cost is created by enterprises with the highest turnover

In 2006, enterprises with EUR 200 million and more of turnover created the highest share (24.1%) of value added at factor cost. These enterprises created more than EUR 7 billion (7,271 million) of turnover in 2006.
