In 2007 considerably higher prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture
In 2007 prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture increased on average by 23.5%, while compared to 2006 they increased on average by 12.0%. In comparison with 2006, in 2007 prices of animal feedingstuffs increased the most (on average by 26.3%), while the lowest increase was recorded at plant protection products (on average by 1.4%). Prices of seeds and planting stock increased in 2007, in comparison with 2006, on average by 17.8%, prices of fertilizers on average by 16.3%, prices of goods and services for maintenance of materials on average by 8.0% (but for maintenance of buildings on average by 4.6%), prices of veterinary expenses on average by 2.8%, prices of other goods and services on average by 1.9% and prices of energy and lubricants on average by 1.7%.
After decrease in prices of animal feedingstuffs in 2005 and more or less stable prices of animal feedingstuffs in 2006, in 2007 the energy market started to form prices of cereals and energy commodities. Consequently in 2007 straight feedingstuffs went up on average by 65.2% (compared to 2006 by 45.5%), while compound feedingstuffs went up on average by 39.9% (compared to 2006 by 23.3%).
Among straight feedingstuffs, prices of cereals and milling by-products increased on average by 81.1%, prices of other straight feedingstuffs by 38.2% and prices of products of animal origin by 28.0%. Among compound feedingstuffs, prices of compound feedingstuffs for poultry increased the most (on average by 45.7%) while prices of compound feedingstuffs for cattle, excluding calves went up on average by 42.8%, prices of compound feedingstuffs for other cattle on average by 33.1%, prices of compund feedingstuffs for calves on average by 28.9% and prices of compound feedingstuffs for pigs on average by 26.5%.
Among prices of seeds, prices of seed potatoes and winter cereals (wheat and barley) increased the most.
At fertilizers, prices of compound fertilizers were higher on average by 57.0% (compared to 2006 by 14.9%), while prices of straight fertilizers were higher on average by 35.8% (compared to 2006 by 17.6%).
In 2007 among plant protection products prices of insecticides increased the most (on average by 13.4%), while prices of fungicides were higher on average by 0.5% and prices of herbicides were higher on average by 0.2%.
Slight increase in prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment
In 2007 prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment increased on average by 2.7%. On average, prices of materials increased by 1.8% (prices of machinery and other equipment on average by 2.6% and prices of tractors on average by 1.0%), while prices of other buildings increased on average by 4.3%.
Compared to 2006, in 2007 prices of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment increased on average by 3.6%. On average, prices of materials were higher by 2.9% (prices of machinery and other equipment were higher by 3.1% and prices of tractors were higher by 2.6%) and prices of other buildings were higher on average by 5.1%.
