In 2006, cultural institutions organized 7,719 performances, which was 13.5% less than a year before. In the same year 3,159 own productions were staged by cultural institutions, which was 11.8% more than a year before.
Increase in attendance in cultural institutions In 2006, cultural institutions that reported about their activity organised 7,719 performances. The share of own productions was 40.9% and the share of domestic majority production was 8.5% (taking into account only the co-producer with a majority). The number of foreign co-productions was 109 and the number of tours was 2,997. The total attendance in cultural institutions in 2006 increased by 6.6% over a year before and was around 2 million.
In Slovenia most people attending education and training activities in cultural institutions were children and youth In 2006, cultural institutions prepared 1,140 education and training seminars and workshops; they were attended by 86,356 people, of whom 86.4% children and youth.
