In 2006, radio broadcasting institutions forwarded data for 63 radio programmes, which is two more than a year before. There were 41 radio programmes of special importance; 9.8% of them public programmes, approximately a half local programmes and 34.15% regional programmes of special importance.

Most TV programmes of special importance are local programmes

In 2006, TV organisations in their questionnaires presented data for 51 TV programmes, one more than in the previous year. 24 (47.1%) TV programmes had a special status; most of them were local programmes of special importance – 66.7%.

In 2006, radio organisations broadcasted less local and regional programme than a year before

In 2006, radio organisations that reported to us broadcasted 90,414 hours of regional programme, 7,915 hours less than in the previous year. Also in this year radio stations broadcasted 90,941 hours of local programme, even though the number of local radio programmes decreased by one.

In 2006, 6 TV organizations that reported to us broadcasted 29,653 hours of regional TV programme, 7.9% more than in the previous year. Local TV stations broadcasted 28,061 hours of local programme, which was 16.1% less than in the previous year.
