Construction works abroad, Slovenia, 1st half 2007

In comparison with the second half of 2006, the value of construction put in place abroad in the first half of 2007 increased by almost 38%.

Value of construction put in place in the first half of 2007 increased over the second half of 2006 by almost 38%

As in the past few years, most of construction put in place by Slovenian construction companies was done in the Russian Federation and in countries of former Yugoslavia – more than half of the total value. In EU member states less than 25% of construction work was done, of that more than half in Italy and in Germany.

In comparison with the first half of 2006, the value of construction put place increased by almost 42%; in the segment of buildings the value increased by almost 40%, while in the segment of civil engineering it increased by 46%.

Value of designing and engineering services in the first half of 2007 doubled over the previous half-year

The value was doubled in comparison with the second half of 2006 (by 202%) as well as in comparison with the first half of 2006 (by 89%). Most of designing and engineering services were performed in Serbia, the Russian Federation and in Croatia (more than 65% of the total value), while in EU member States almost 30% of the total value was achieved.

Value of the new contracts for construction decreased in the first half of 2007 over the previous half-year

Compared to the previous half-year, the value of new contracts for construction put in place in the first half of 2007 decreased by almost 30%; most of the new contracts (almost 80%) were signed in Italy, Germany, Libya, United Arab Emirates and in the Russian Federation. In the same comparison the value of contracts for designing and engineering has almost trebled.
