In the 2000-2006 period the increase of the value of output of the forestry industry

In the 2000-2006 period, output of the forestry industry at current prices kept increasing. It amounted in 2005 to SIT 25 030 mio and it – compared with 2004 - increased by 6,5 percent. In the 2006 it reached SIT 35 947 mio. Reasons for higher output were higher production of raw wood categories and higher value of forestry services, for instance wood removals, skidding and wood transportations.

Increase of the value added in 2006 influenced by intermediate consumption

In 2006, value added at current prices amounted to SIT 23 943 mio. The increase in comparison with 2005 was influenced by the movement of total intermediate consumption, which in comparison with the 2005 increased by 42 percent in 2006. Total intermediate consumption amounted in 2006 to SIT 12 005 mio.

Factor income in 2006 higher

In 2006, factor income which includes subsidies on production amounted to SIT 20 946 mio. In comparison with the previous year it increased by 50,3 percentage points. Value of the subsidies on production stayed almost the same, the net value added increased in 2006 by 53,4 percentage points in comparison with the previous year.

In 2006 operating surplus higher, employment lower

In 2006 operating surplus or mixed income at current prices amounted to SIT 13 033 mio. Employment in forestry, expressed in full time equivalent amounted 5945 full time equivalent in 2006, which is one percent less than in the 2005 when it amounted 5994 full time equivalent.
