Enterprise Groups, Slovenia, 2005 (provisional data)

The results of the pilot project showed that in Slovenia 421 all-resident enterprise groups, 536 domestically controlled truncated groups and 2,528 foreign controlled truncated groups were identified in 2005.
Among all-resident enterprise groups those with two units prevail 70% of all-resident enterprise groups have two units. The majority of all-resident groups are controlled by group head-legal unit (84%); 16% of all-resident groups are controlled by group head-natural person. All-resident enterprise groups represent 12% of all enterprise groups which were identified in Slovenia in the pilot project.
The majority of legal units associated in manufacturing, wholesale and business services The greatest share of enterprise groups was identified in wholesale, retail and certain repair (37%), 20% of enterprise groups were identified in real estate, renting and business services and 19% in manufacturing.
The majority of all-resident enterprise groups were identified in manufacturing (25%), real estate, renting and business services (22%) and wholesale, retail and certain repair (16%).
Domestically controlled truncated groups prevailed in manufacturing (36%), while foreign controlled truncated groups prevailed in wholesale, retail and certain repair (42%).
The majority of foreign controlled truncated enterprise groups are controlled by Austria, Italy, Germany and Croatia The results of the pilot project showed that the highest share of foreign controlled truncated groups is controlled by Austria (22%), while Italy, Germany and Croatia each have a 12% share.
Foreign controlled truncated enterprise groups controlled by Austria predominate in wholesale, retail and certain repair (23%) and in real estate, renting and business services (29%). On the other hand, foreign controlled truncated enterprise groups controlled by Germany predominate in manufacturing (24%) and foreign controlled truncated groups controlled by Italy prevail in transport, storage and communication (18%).
