Average monthly earnings Slovenia, February 2012 - provisional data

Average monthly net earnings for February 2012 amounted to almost EUR 990 and were 0.5% lower than average monthly net earnings for January 2012.

Average monthly net earnings for February 2012 were in real terms 1.1% lower than earnings for January 2012
Average monthly gross earnings for February 2012 amounted to EUR 1,523.11 and were 0.4% lower than earnings for January 2012 and 2.0% higher than earnings for February 2011. Average monthly net earnings for February 2012 amounted to EUR 988.47 and were 0.5% lower than earnings for January 2012.

Because in February 2012 consumer prices grew on average by 0.6%, average monthly gross earnings for February 2012 were compared to the previous month in real terms lower by 1.0%. Compared to February 2011 they decreased in real terms by 0.9%. Average monthly net earnings for February 2012 were compared to the previous month in real terms lower by 1.1%.

The largest decrease in average gross earnings in transportation and storage
Compared to January 2012, average monthly gross earnings for February 2012 decreased in most sections of activities, the most in transportation and storage (by 4.1%) and in accommodation and food service activities (by 3.1%). The largest increase was observed in administrative and support service activities (by 2.7%) and in manufacturing (by 1.9%).

Average monthly gross earnings for February 2012 lower than the national average in 11 statistical regions
Of the 12 statistical regions in Slovenia average monthly gross earnings for February 2012 were lower than the national average in 11 and higher in 1. The highest average monthly gross earnings for February 2012 were paid in the Osrednjeslovenska statistical region (EUR 1,727.83) and the lowest in the Pomurska statistical region (EUR 1,317.26).
