In February 2012 the quantity of milk collected from farms increased by more than 5% compared to February 2011, while it decreased (also by more than 5%) compared to the previous month.

In February 2012 more than 5% more milk collected from farms than in February 2011
Compared to January 2012, in February 2012 the quantity of collected milk decreased by over 5%, which is a normal seasonal fall. However, compared to February 2011 it increased quite substantially: by more than 5%.

In February 2012 slightly higher fat and protein content of milk than in February 2011
Fat and protein content of milk collected in February 2012 increased substantially compared to February 2011. Cumulative figures for the first two months show similar trends, except the increase in protein content was less pronounced. Compared to January 2012 also both fat and protein content increased.

In February 2012 lower production of most milk products than in the previous month
In February 2012 Slovene dairies substantially decreased the production of butter (by 27%). Also the production of drinking milk decreased by more than 5% and the production of cheese by almost 4%. On the other hand, the production of cream increased by more than 3% and also the production of acidified milk was slightly higher. There was no production of milk powder with higher fat content in February 2012, while the production of skimmed-milk powder decreased by more than 28%.

Compared to February 2011, in February 2012 higher production of most milk products
Compared to February 2011, in February 2012 only the production of butter decreased by more than 6% and of skimmed-milk powder by almost 42%. The production of other groups of milk products increased: of cheese by almost 6%, of drinking milk and cream by around 3% and of acidified milk by 1%.

Cumulative production in the first two months mostly slightly higher
Similar trends apply also for cumulative production in the first two months. The production of cheese increased substantially (by almost 7%), also the production of acidified milk was almost 4% higher and the production of cream by more than 2%. The production of skimmed-milk powder decreased by almost 14%, while there was no production of milk powder with higher fat content in first two months. The production of butter and drinking milk decreased by around 3%.
