Labour force survey results, Slovenia, 4th quarter 2011 - final data

Detailed data on the Labour Force Survey in Slovenia for the fourth quarter of 2011 are published in the new issue of Rapid Reports.

In the fourth quarter of 2011 there were 933,000 employed in Slovenia, which was 11,000 less than in the previous quarter. The distribution of employed by sections of activity shows that almost a quarter of all employed worked in manufacturing; the highest share of employed worked as professionals (19.2%). 11.0% of employed worked part time; employed worked on average 39.4 hours per week.

The number of unemployed substantially increased in this quarter from 81,000 to 89,000. Almost 50% of unemployed persons were looking for a job for one year or more.

The number of inactive persons changed only modestly, by 3,000 compared to the previous quarter.

Data on the Labour Force Survey, already published in the First Release on 28 February 2012, are published in Rapid Reports at a more detailed level.
