Compared to December 2010, in December 2011 passengers carried in urban transport decreased by 12.6%.
Decrease in the number of motor vehicles registered for the first time
Compared to December 2010, in December 2011 2.6% less road motor vehicles registered for the first time, among them 4.6% less passenger cars registered for the first time were registered in the Central Register of Vehicles and Traffic Documents at the Ministry of the Interior. Fewer passengers in road transport for hire or reward than a year ago
Compared to December 2010, in December 2011 passengers carried in transport for hire and reward decreased by 9.5%, while in air transport it decreased by 16.1%. The number of passenger kilometres made was down in road transport for hire or reward by 2.3% and in air transport was down by 20.6%. In the same comparison the number of passengers carried in urban transport decreased by 12.6%. Increase in traffic of passengers in ports over December 2010
In December 2011 traffic of passengers in ports was fourteen times higher than in December 2010. In the same comparison passenger traffic at the airport went down by 9.4%. Compared to the previous month it decreased by 13%. Increase in maritime transport of goods over December 2010
Compared to December 2010, in December 2011 the quantity of goods carried in maritime transport increased by 6.5%. In the same comparison the number of tonne kilometres made was up by 3.8%. In the SI-STAT database the data on goods carried and tonne-kilometres performed for the period from January to November 2011 have been corrected, because the reporting unit revisied its data. Decrease in traffic of goods at airport over December 2010
Compared to December 2010, in December 2011 traffic of goods at the airport was down by 3.8%, while traffic of arrived and dispatched goods in ports was up by 25.7%.
