Print version

The sixth edition of the publication Slovene Regions in Figures offers once again a comprehensive and interesting overview of the diversity of statistical and cohesion regions in Slovenia.

Regional statistical data and indicators for 2009

A rich set of statistical data and indicators presented in the publication gives you a good overview of the similarities and differences between Slovenian regions in 2009. In simple tables you can for example check out in which part of Slovenia people lived longer or where the share of premature deaths was the largest. You can also detect from a simple chart for example in which parts of Slovenia domestic and foreign tourists enjoyed the longest holidays. The spatial distribution of statistical data is even more richly presented on thematic maps since they usually show more than just one set of data. With the help of one of the thematic maps in the publication you can for example find out how municipal waste was removed in the statistical regions in 2009 and where in Slovenia the amount of collected and landfilled municipal waste per capita was the largest. Despite different sizes of regions, data between regions are always objectively comparable since they are calculated per area of regions or per the same selected population groups by regions.

The mirror of statistical and cohesion regions

Tabular and graphic presentations of regional data are complemented by the profiles of twelve statistical and two cohesion regions, presented in the second part of the publication: the Mirror of Region. Each region is presented by some of the most important statistical data, the age pyramid and a short comment that completes the overall presentation of different parts of Slovenia.

The publication Slovene Regions in Figures 2011 is available on our website.
