External trade unit value indices, Slovenia, 4th quarter 2009 - final data

Compared to 2008, in 2009 external trade unit values, calculated from data in EUR, decreased by 6.1% on the export side and by 9.0% on the import side.

According to final data, in 2009, compared to 2008, the only rise in export unit values was registered with beverages and tobacco (index 103.3), while the biggest fall was registered with mineral fuels and lubricants (index 80.0).

In 2009, compared to 2008, the decrease of import unit values can be noticed in all commodity groups. The biggest fall was registered with mineral fuels and lubricants (index 71.7), while the lowest fall was registered with miscellaneous manufactured articles (index 99.9).

In 2009, compared to 2008, exports decreased by 13.8%, while imports decreased by 18.4%.

Detailed data on external trade unit value indices, calculated from data in EUR, are published in the SI-STAT database on SORS’s website. Indices for Slovenia’s total trade and trade with euro and non-euro area are shown at the section and division level of the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC), at the section and division level of the Standard Classification of Activities (NACE) and according to the Classification by Broad Economic Categories (BEC).
