According to provisional data, in the 4th quarter of 2007 the labour cost index in Slovenia grew by 3.2% over the same period a year before.
3.2% annual increase in the labour costs index
According to provisional data, in the 4th quarter of 2007 the labour cost index in Slovenia grew by 3.2% over the 4th quarter of 2006. Seasonally adjusted figures show that in the same period the labour cost index grew by 2.8%.
The highest annual growth of the labour cost index in mining and quarrying
Compared to the same period a year before, in the 4th quarter of 2007 the labour cost index increased the most in mining and quarrying (by 15.1%), hotels and restaurants, and fishing (both by 12.2%) and financial intermediation (by 7.3%).
In the 3rd quarter of 2007 the lowest annual growth of the labour cost index in Germany
According to Eurostat data, compared to the same period a year before in the 3rd quarter of 2007 the labour cost index in industry and services (activities C to K of the NACE Rev. 1.1) increased the most in Latvia (by 30.0%), followed by Romania and Estonia (by 23.2% and by 20.6%). In the same period the labour cost index increased the least in Germany (by 0.9%), followed by Finland (by 1.9%), while for Ireland, Italy, Malta and the Netherland for this period data are not available.
