Interactive statistical atlas of Slovenia

Interactive statistical atlas of Slovenia shows data for selected statistical indicators on interactive maps of Slovenian statistical regions and municipalities, mostly in longer time series. In the tool a user can select indicators, territorial levels (statistical regions or municipalities) and available years. When moving the mouse over the map, data are displayed, same as when moving the mouse over the chart on the right-hand side. When selecting a region, the chart shows only municipalities of the selected region and it also provides an option to sort regions or municipalities by alphabet or by rank.

First names and family names

The database of first names and family names of citizens of the Republic of Slovenia enables you to find out how frequent an individual first name and family name or a combination of a first name and family name is, how fashionable certain names were in certain periods of birth and what first names and especially family names are characteristic for individual regions of Slovenia. The most frequently sought reviews show data on the most frequent first names and family names and the most frequent combinations of first names and family names.

Population clock

The population clock shows the estimate of the current number of population in the world and in Slovenia.

Database of birthdays

With the database of birthdays you can find out how many people in Slovenia were born on a certain date or day. The database is prepared so that you can search by days, by months or by years, or you can search by full dates. In this case the day of the week will also be shown. The most frequently sought reviews show data on days and dates when most people in Slovenia have their birthdays.

Population pyramid

The population pyramid is an interactive presentation of the age and sex structure of the population through time. The pyramid shows the demographic situation and changes in Slovenia from 1971 on.

Thematic Cartography

Application Thematic Cartography allows users to browse pre-prepared thematic maps of Slovenia. Thematic maps enable a clear and efficient review of phenomena at a selected spatial level (municipalities, regions, grids) for several statistical fields. The mapsare prepared to be viewed on screen or downloaded in higher resolution for printing.

Place names

The database of place names is a simple way users to learn how many settlements or streets in Slovenia have the same name and how often is an individual name repeated, where the settlements or streets you are inquiring about are located and also basic data on settlements viewed.
