Eurostat offers more than 300 million statistical data on its website, which are available in pre-defined tables, databases, publications, methodology and other useful links. All data are accessible by browsing through Themes and Collections.
The data, publications and information on its website can be accessed and downloaded free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and in three languages: English, German and French.
Users can find comparable and harmonized data for individual EU Member States and also the aggregated data for the European Union as a whole (EU-27), EU-15, EU-25, and euro area. There are also some data available for EFTA countries (Switzerland, Norway, Island, Liechtenstein), candidate countries (Croatia, Turkey), Western Balkan countries, selected New Independent States from the territory of former Soviet Union as well as for the USA and Japan.
There are several ways to access the data. More general users can find the data they are looking for via the pre-defined tables. More demanding users and specialists can find more sophisticated data via detailed databases (Data), where users have to define/select the wanted variables/data (self-defined extractions). Researchers also have the possibility to access the microdata sets.
Eurostat website also provides a search function.
