Statistical advisory committees
Statistical advisory committees for individual fields of national statistics are formed at SORS. They have a long tradition in the national statistics in Slovenia since they were established long before they were formally introduced by the National Statistics Act in 1995. Their work has a significant impact on the development of national statistics in Slovenia at expert level and in co-operation of institutions in common efforts to provide quality, timely and relevant statistics.
Currently there are 23 advisory committees for different fields of statistics with around 400 outside members and 100 SORS members. Members of advisory committees are appointed by the heads of individual institutions upon SORS's proposal.
