Record low cheese production; quantity of collected milk increased by almost 3% in the first half of 2015
Almost 3% more milk was collected in the first 6 months of 2015. Dairies produced less cheese, butter and acidified milk, while production of cream and drinking milk was slightly higher. In June 2015 dairies produced the lowest monthly quantity of cheese since 2000.

Quantity of milk collected from farms in first half of 2015 increased by almost 3%
The total quantity of collected milk decreased by almost 5% compared to the previous month and increased by more than 5% compared to June 2014. The quantity collected in the first half of 2015 was almost 3% higher than the quantity collected in the first half of 2014.

Decrease in fat and protein content of milk collected in June
Fat and protein content of milk collected in June 2015 decreased (compared to previous month and also compared to June 2014). Milk collected in the first half of 2015 contained less fat and more proteins than milk collected in the first half of 2014.

Higher drinking milk production
Drinking milk production in June 2015 increased by more than 5% compared to the previous month and by almost 4% compared to June 2014. Total production of drinking milk in the first half of 2015 was almost 1% higher than in the same period last year.

Cream production higher than in 2014
Although cream production decreased compared to the previous month by almost 5%, compared to June 2014 it increased by over 5%. Also half-year production of cream was more than 1% higher than in the same period in 2014.

Acidified milk production decreased in the first half of 2015
While production of acidified milk increased by more than 4% compared to the previous month, it was still more than 2% lower than in June 2014. Cumulative production in the first half of 2015 was almost 7% lower than in the same period last year.

Lowest monthly production of cheese in the last 15 years
Production of cheese is decreasing in the last months. In June dairies produced less than 1,100 tons of cheese, which was more than 27% less than in the previous month and more than 15% less than in June 2014. Cumulative half–year production of cheese decreased by more than 8 % in the first half of 2015.

Production of butter decreased also
As expected, butter production in June 2015 decreased (by more than 5%), but it was slightly higher than in June 2014. Cumulative production of butter in the first half of 2015 decreased by more than 9%.

Milk powder production in the first half of 2015 lower than last year
Milk powder production in the first half of 2015 decreased by almost 37% compared to the same period last year.
