Inflation – annual inflation rate

Inflation is a general increase in prices, while the inflation rate shows the percentage increase in prices. In Slovenia inflation is measured with the consumer price index with which we measure changes in retail prices of goods and services from the point of view of the expenditure structure, which the resident population intends for final consumption at home and abroad.

Compared to February 2016, 4% more tourist arrivals and 2% more overnight stays were registered in February 2017. Domestic tourists generated 51% of all overnight stays. Among foreign tourists most overnight stays were generated by Italian and Austrian tourists.

In 2015 energy productivity (GDP/energy supply) up by 5% over 2014
Compared to 2014, in 2015 energy productivity went up by 5%, and water and material productivity by 2% each. The share of separately collected municipal waste went up by 4 percentage points. In the same period the availability of freshwater resources in Slovenia decreased by 46%.

Large enterprises contributed almost half of total exports of Slovenia
Exports of large enterprises represented 44.0% of total exports and imports of these enterprises represented 33.4% of total imports. Micro and small enterprises together contributed 24.4% of total exports and 34.3% of total imports.
