Which EU-28 Member State emits the most CO2? Which MSs are Slovenia’s main trading partners?

Most carbon dioxide per person is emitted by Luxembourg and the least by Croatia and Sweden. Our main trading partner is Germany.

Most CO2 emitted by Luxembourg, the least by Croatia and Sweden

In 2015 most carbon dioxide per person was emitted by Luxembourg (20.5 tons) and the least by Croatia and Sweden (5.7 tons). Slovenia emitted 8.2 tons of CO2 per person, which was just below the EU-28 average.



Germany – Slovenia’s main trading partner


Slovenia’s main trading partner is Germany. In 2017 Slovenia exported EUR 5.7 billion of goods to and imported EUR 5.2 billion of goods from Germany. Germany was followed by Italy (EUR 3.2 billion of exports and EUR 4.3 billion of imports) and Croatia (EUR 2.2 billion of exports and EUR 1.5 billion of imports).
